1800's Ophthalmoscope Fisher Training Scope

This rare treasure was for teaching medical students how to use a Ophthalmoscope and view the retina. This is called a Fisher's Model Eye Scope. It's in the original box with 11 retina samples (22 retina samples as each side one is double sided). The scope is made of brass that is painted black. It's stamped "W.H. Fisher M.D. Mfd. Scope by Riggs Optical CO. Chicago, USA". Original cardboard box has label "No. 1111 Fisher Schematic Eye - Improved Model". A corrective lens would be placed in front and the student would view interior for analysis of the retina. The scopes size is 3.25" tall x 3". Box size is 6" x 4.5" x 3.25". This rare instrument is in very good condition with the seldom found retina samples. This will highlight any collection of 100+ year old optometrist instruments.
